About La Grange, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

La Grange, Missouri is a city found in Lewis County, and there are approximately 950 residents that call the community home. Unfortunately, the population has been declining since the 1960 census. This community is also small geographically, as the La Grange only consists of 1.896 square miles of total area. Located along the Mississippi River, La Grange is a city that prides itself on upholding hometown values and traditions.

La Grange is home to a variety of interesting attractions. The Mark Twain Casino is a popular tourist destination, and visitors can play the slots, craps, blackjack, and a variety of other exciting casino games. There are a variety of unique specialty shops located in the city, including Antiques and More, and golf is available at Riverview Golf Club.

Wakonda State Park is also located in La Grange, and this park is known for having six lakes that attract a large population of migratory waterfowl every year. This bird lover’s paradise is also a great place for anglers to fish for catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, and blue gill. A swimming beach offers a great place to cool off during the hot summer months, and since campsites are available, visitors can choose to stay for a while.

Residents of La Grange will need to have both home heating and cooling systems in place in order to stay safe throughout the course of the year. A central air conditioning unit is useful during the summer months when temperatures become hot and quite humid, as highs reach at least 90 degrees more than 40 days per year. Likewise, a furnace or heat pump is a necessity during the winter months, as temperatures generally fall below the freezing point about 25 days per year. When freezing temperatures couple with winter precipitation, outdoor conditions can become quite dangerous, and a properly serviced heating system will keep residents safe when they are stuck indoors.
